Drone Fleet – Installer Certification

As vehicle manufacturers increase their communication networks to offer the technology for todays vehicles, understanding and knowing what our products need for communication is crucial for success. Drone devices utilize these data networks to obtain information and report to the user. Odometer and Fuel Level are examples of this.

  • OBD2 (On-Board Diagnostics 2nd Gen) is a standardized system integrated into vehicles to monitor and diagnose potential issues within the engine and other systems.
  • Newer vehicles also have Auto Start / Stop systems that may shut down the connected circuits causing reporting issues with ignition, accessory, and others.
  • We also offer T-Harnesses that allow for easier integration without compromising the vehicles wiring integrity.
  • NOTE – It is “Strongly Recommended” to use a “WIRE-TO-WIRE” Connection for DATA Network connections when “Hardwiring” Drone devices.

It is important to recognize the changing technology in cars and be able to verify the circuits in which are needed for the installation.
