Drone Fleet – Installer Certification

Drone devices can be installed in different ways. The device being installed ansd requirements of the job will determine the install type below: 

  • Method #1
    • OBD Harness – The X2MAX can be installed using an OBD Plug & Play harness. This harness offers a simple plug in installation at a vehicle’s OBD Diagnostic Port, and covers all necessary connections (12V, Ground, Ignition, CAN Hi / Low). This method will offer the most seamless installation and worry-free connection.
  • Method # 2
    • Hardwire – The X2MAX and XC can be installed by hardwiring the required connections directly into the vehicle. This method allows for “Covert” installations, and concealed wiring.
  • Method # 3
    • Data-to-Data – The X2-MAX and XC can be installed in conjunction with a Firstech approved Controller through a data connection that will allow information be sent to and from the Drone device such as additional vehicle data, and also vehicle control.
